The Ben Phelps Project Performs Live on The OBX
The Ben Phelps Project is a six piece band from Hampton Roads Virginia. The band plays a style of music all their own merging jazz, blues, and rock into an original sound. The BPP has worked regionally since 2004, released two albums, and has played shows with Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Colbie Callait, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Chicago, Cowboy Mouth, Michelle Branch, Cracker, Carbon Leaf, Pat Mcgee, Taylor Hicks, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, The Romantics, Good Old War, and more.
Along with regular local radio and TV appearances, The Ben Phelps Project has been a regular on the club circuit. Most notably, headlining twice in 2008 and 2012 with crowds in excess of 500 at The NorVa in Norfolk, VA; a club Rolling Stone named as one of the top 5 clubs to play in the country.
The band has played for spring breakers in Panama City, Florida to Bucknell University students in Pennsylvania and everywhere in between. Ben Phelps is newly signed to Tinderbox Music, a promotional company out of Minnesota, which currently has his solo album, New Ghost Town, on college radios across the county and is licensing the music for TV & Film. Most recently, Ben Phelps music has been has been licensed to The Discovery Channel, MTV2, and VH1 for use in over ten television series. Come see this band perform live on the big stage this January!
