ABOUT THE CHEF

CHEF JUSTIN LACHINE
Chef Justin’s story starts in a small family café in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he washed dishes at the age of sixteen and quickly found his way to the stove. A New York chef who bought the café saw something in him, taught him the basics, and lit the spark that turned into a lifelong passion. After cooking his way through local kitchens, Justin headed to Johnson & Wales to sharpen his skills and later landed in Maui, training with Roy Yamaguchi and soaking in the island’s food culture. He went on to lead kitchens back in Virginia, including Brock’s Riverside Grill and Ruth’s Chris Steak House, before the Outer Banks called him home in 2008.
Here, Justin built Café Lachine into a local favorite before joining the Brewing Station family. He brings with him not just years of experience, but a love for good food, good people, and the community he’s proud to call home. When he’s not in the kitchen, you’ll find him fishing, reading, going to church, or spending time with his wife Tiffany and their five boys, Josh, Trey, Chase. Mikel and Nathan.
