BUGZ!!!
From time to time every brewers’ bell gets rung! I got mine coming off late last summer’s hectic tourist season. One of our beers got infected!….
View PostI like to think of our pub brewery as a kitchen rather than a factory. I never stop experimenting. Every brew is the result of the culmination of everything I’ve learned about brewing to date. Sort of the way a jazz musician approaches music.
Olsch is the only constant, but even there things have changed. Some beers come back by popular demand, so the name comes back, with a general aim at recreating the beer, but then innovation (and necessity), new ingredients, and fresh ideas are incorporated.
Such is the luxury of brewing in a beer kitchen rather than a widget factory, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Cheers!

The concept followed from my observation that a lot of people enjoy putting lemon in their Hefeweizen, even though it [...]
View PostGet it while it lasts! This zesty golden Hefeweizen is infused with a potent smack of Lemongrass. The flavor is crisp, tart and refreshing – (5.2% abv.) We do, of course have some nice new fall offerings as well. The Irie Tropic Stout (Extra strong, 7.4% abv.) and Iron Binnacle Baltic Porter (at 8.4% abv. served [...]
View PostOur elusive, highly-prized award winning, bottle conditioned Lemongrass Wheat Ale is back in half liter bottles while quantities last! We know a lot of advertizements use ”limited” to drive sales but in our case, it’s too true. We have a small brewery and our “bottling line” consists of a one head manual filler (read: one bottle at [...]
View PostThe Brewing Station has lucked out again!! When assistant brewer Seldon Sawyer left after 5 years of service (to follow his heart -read girl – to Missouri) we were nervous about who could fill his boots. Shaazam! Straight from California by way of VB (where his fiancee is from) comes Adam Bell to save the [...]
